Human trafficking network uncovered in Senegal, two Nigerian girls rescued
A human trafficking network has been dismantled in Senegal, leading to the rescue of two young Nigerian girls. On August 4, the regional branch of the Dnlt in K茅dougou was alerted to the arrival of two girls in Sambrabougou village, Saraya department, who had been transported from Nigeria by Eunice Attah, also known as Mirabel, for prostitution. The two Nigerian girls, along with Attah, were apprehended. They confirmed that Attah had transported them from Nigeria and then sexually exploited them. Upon their arrival, Attah first housed them in Douta before transferring them to Sambrabougou. She then demanded they engage in prostitution and repay her 1,500,000 FCFA each, which she claimed were costs related to their journey to Senegal. During questioning, Eunice Attah stated that she had purchased F. Innocente for 500,000 FCFA and Annie Yusuf for 300,000 FCFA from Nigerian compatriots, identified as Wide, residing in Cotonou, and Ibrahim, also known as Mathieu, residing in Benue State, Nigeria. She then organized and planned their trip to Senegal. Following the investigation, Eunice Attah was referred to the K茅dougou public prosecutor's office on August 4, and the two young girls were placed under the care of the NGO "La Lumi猫re".
