President Ouattara holds discussions with Gabonese counterpart, Indian Minister of State, and WHO Director-General
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, President Alassane Ouattara held discussions with several key figures on the sidelines of C么te d'Ivoire's 66th independence anniversary. He met with his Gabonese counterpart, President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, to discuss strengthening friendship and cooperation, particularly in agriculture and energy. President Ouattara also conversed with India's Minister of State for External Affairs, Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh, who delivered a message from the President of India. Their talks focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in raw material processing and technological innovation. Additionally, President Ouattara met with Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, to consolidate their partnership. This included support for universal health coverage, combating infant and maternal mortality, local production of medicines and vaccines, and improving healthcare services.
