Chelsea reportedly lists 11 players for summer transfer amidst squad overhaul
Chelsea has reportedly placed 11 players on the transfer list as the club continues its squad overhaul during the summer transfer window. The club aims to reduce its squad size after spending over £300 million on new signings, including Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Valentin Barco, Danny Welbeck, and Emmanuel Emegha. According to The Athletic, players available for transfer include Enzo Fernández, Pedro Neto, Malo Gusto, Benoît Badiashile, Axel Disasi, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Guiu, David Datro Fofana, Liam Delap, and Nicolas Jackson. Chalobah has reportedly agreed to a £31 million move to Serie A side Como, while Pedro Neto has been linked with a reunion with Enzo Maresca at Manchester City. Chelsea expects further departures before the transfer window closes. Meanwhile, Chelsea's preparations for the 2026/27 season have yielded mixed results, with Xabi Alonso’s side recording one win and two defeats in their first three pre-season fixtures. They defeated Western Sydney Wanderers 6–4 but then lost 2–1 to Tottenham Hotspur and 1–0 to Juventus. The team has scored seven goals and conceded seven, highlighting both attacking potential and defensive issues. Chelsea will play remaining friendlies against AC Milan, Johor Darul Ta’zim, and Real Sociedad.
