Tunisia's economic growth projected at 2.6% in 2026, inflation to remain at 5.7%

This growth is anticipated to be driven by improved value-added in sectors such as agriculture, agribusiness, and mechanical and electrical industries, alongside a recovery in services, particularly tourism. Agricultural authorities have implemented measures to enhance food security and supply, including increased storage capacity and support for seeds and fertilizers, coupled with distribution system reforms. The Central Bank of Tunisia has maintained a cautious monetary policy, keeping its key interest rate at 7% at the end of March 2026 due to inflationary pressures.

For 2027, growth will be supported by the 2026-2030 development plan, which aims to simplify administrative procedures, support entrepreneurs, reduce unemployment, accelerate local project implementation, and improve infrastructure. The report also notes a continuous decline in inflation for the third consecutive year, from 9.3% in 2023 to 7% in 2024, and approximately 5.3% in 2025. This trend is attributed to the easing of global inflationary waves and lower international raw material prices.
