Tripoli University Hospital cancels pediatric heart surgeries due to power cuts and generator fuel shortages

A source indicated that the hospital administration could not guarantee a stable power supply, even if electricity were restored. Although the hospital possesses generators, there was an insufficient supply of diesel to operate them continuously for the duration of the surgeries. Additionally, the hospital's Bypass machine lacks batteries.

This situation has caused frustration for a visiting US medical team, which had already performed 18 operations and planned two more for today, and distress for the parents of the children awaiting these procedures.
