Touba: 16-year-old domestic worker allegedly raped by employer's husband

A woman has accused a returning emigrant of raping her 16-year-old niece. The young girl had been working as a domestic helper for nearly four months at the home of the suspect's wife, A. Diokhane. According to reports, the victim arrived at her aunt's home on April 10 in a state of shock, claiming to have been assaulted by her employer's husband.

Informed of the situation, the employer accompanied the young girl to the hospital, where a medical examination confirmed her statements. Based on this, law enforcement arrested the suspect at his home. During initial questioning, the suspect denied the allegations, presenting a different version of events, supported by his wife.

However, evidence gathered during the investigation, including communications and testimonies, weakened his defense. After several confrontations, he eventually admitted to having sexual relations with the minor. Following the investigation, the man was brought before the High Court of Diourbel, where he will face charges.
