Tjilenje Tjo Zipa Festival to celebrate Kalanga heritage in Nkange village

Organized by Takuwa Natural Products, the three-day event aims to preserve tribal traditions and foster community connection with heritage. Letsema Gaefhele, a representative for Takuwa Natural Products, stated the festival was created to celebrate the Kalanga people's rich heritage amidst concerns that traditions, language, and indigenous knowledge are at risk of being forgotten. The festival will feature traditional Kalanga dance competitions, storytelling, choir performances, live music, and indigenous cuisine.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to consult Takuwa Natural Products herbal consultants, who will showcase herbal supplements based on indigenous medical practices. Gaefhele emphasized that the festival focuses on entertainment, education, preservation, wellness, and community pride.
