Katsina State Governor attributes project delivery and salary payments to Tinubu's economic reforms
Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda stated that economic reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu are enabling states to execute major development projects and meet salary and pension obligations without borrowing. Speaking at the Tinubu/Dikko Assured 2027 Islamiyya Teachers’ Empowerment event, where he commissioned 45 solar-powered streetlights, Governor Radda noted that his administration has completed projects exceeding N30 billion without taking loans. He emphasized that leadership should be judged by performance and results, not political rhetoric. Radda highlighted that President Tinubu’s reforms, including local government financial autonomy, have helped states deliver projects and pay salaries and pensions on time. He also commended the TDA initiative for its focus on grassroots development and empowerment of Islamiyya teachers, personally donating N10,000 to each of the 690 beneficiaries. Former Governor Aminu Masari also spoke, stressing the importance of prioritizing people's welfare and development, and acknowledging the achievements of President Tinubu and Governor Radda. He cited federal infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and improvements on the Kaduna-Abuja Road as evidence of effective leadership impacting economic activities and agricultural development. Umar Zayyad, Director-General of TAD, mentioned the expansion of their programs to support teachers and Islamiyya school beneficiaries, inspired by President Tinubu's leadership.
