Casablanca Stock Exchange listed companies' revenue up 10.8% in first half of 2026
The total revenue of companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange reached 192.4 billion DH in the first half of 2026, marking a 10.8% increase year-on-year. This represents an additional 18.8 billion DH in revenue, primarily driven by the mining sector, followed by insurance, oil and gas, and distribution. Banks, while the largest sector by revenue, showed a limited increase in their net banking income. The overall growth was supported by factors such as inflation remaining below 2% despite the Middle East conflict, favorable climatic conditions for the 2025-2026 agricultural season, and strong dynamics in real estate and construction, boosted by housing aid programs and infrastructure projects for the 2030 World Cup. The mining sector saw a significant revenue increase of 149.82%, largely due to Managem's performance and rising metal prices. Insurance revenues grew by 20.78%, with Wafa Assurance leading the way. The oil and gas sector's revenue increased by 19.70%, mainly from TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc. Distribution also contributed positively with a 16.06% rise. Conversely, the agri-food and construction sectors experienced declines in revenue.
