Pastef to propose law making asset declarations public
Pastef is preparing a new bill to make asset declarations submitted to Ofnac public. This announcement was made by Amadou Ba during a press conference held by Pastef officials. Ba stated that Pastef intends to propose a law to remove the confidentiality clause from the asset declaration law, specifically amending Article 18. He added that making these declarations public would allow Senegalese citizens to view the assets declared by authorities and leaders with a single click on the Ofnac website. Ba indicated that the text of the bill would be submitted within two weeks. He also provided a different account regarding a phone call between Aminata Tour茅 and Ousmane Sonko, stating that Tour茅 called Sonko to express her opinion that his chosen candidate would not last two years in power or secure a second term.
