Senegalese magistrate Hélène Sarr elected judge at the CCJA in Lomé

Her election occurred during the 61st session of the organization's Council of Ministers, held on July 27 and 28, 2026, in Lomé, Togo. The Ministry of Justice expressed satisfaction with this election, recognizing Ms. Sarr's career, skills, and commitment to justice. Senegal was represented at the meeting by the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Me Moussa Sarr.

The Ministry highlighted that this election strengthens Senegal's presence within African judicial institutions and demonstrates the renewed confidence of Ohada member states in the expertise of the Senegalese judiciary. The Ministry of Justice congratulated Hélène Sarr on this distinction and wished her success in her new role within this community court, which is responsible for ensuring the uniform interpretation and application of business law within the Ohada area.
