
Niger: Journalist Moussa Kaka missing since Monday, vehicle also untraceable
Moussa Kaka, a journalist and general director of the Saraounia press group, has been reported missing in Niger since the evening of Monday, August 31, 2023. According to his associates, Kaka left his workplace in Niamey around 7 PM to return home but never arrived. His vehicle is also untraceable. His family, contacted by colleagues, states they have no information regarding the circumstances of his disappearance, leading to significant concern among his relatives. Sources close to the case suggest the possibility of an interception while he was en route to his home, after which he was reportedly taken to an unknown location. This information has not been officially confirmed. Kaka's family and associates are urging Nigerien authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly and to mobilize quickly to locate the journalist and ensure his safety.
