Senegalese Customs, Cosec, and Focus Investment Group partner for 110 billion FCFA container terminal in Touba

This 110 billion FCFA investment aims to decentralize customs and logistics operations, bringing them closer to consumption centers in Touba, inland regions, and West African markets. The project is expected to reduce delivery times, prevent supply chain disruptions, improve product traceability, and alleviate congestion in the capital. The terminal, built on 40 hectares, will have an initial capacity of 100,000 TEUs per year, expandable to 200,000 TEUs.

It will include bonded warehouses, bulk silos, and a truck station for 200 heavy goods vehicles daily. This terminal is part of the larger "Touba Terminal" project, a 350-hectare Special Economic Zone that will also feature a 200-hectare industrial and logistics zone, an agricultural exchange, and a 50 MW solar power plant. The entire project is projected to generate over 300 billion FCFA in annual commercial flows and benefit more than 70,000 people within seven years.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.
