Osun Senator Fadahunsi questioned by police over alleged inciting comments
Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, was questioned by the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo regarding alleged inciting comments made at a campaign rally. The police invitation followed a video from an All Progressives Congress rally in Ilesa, where his remarks were interpreted as encouraging supporters to "kill" members of the rival Accord Party. The Osun State Police Command had deemed the alleged remarks threatening and capable of increasing tension before the Osun State governorship election. After several hours at the police headquarters, Senator Fadahunsi was seen departing with an entourage. Details of the interrogation have not been officially released by either the police or the senator. The governorship election is scheduled for Saturday, with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke seeking re-election amidst heightened political tension.
