
Nigeria's Junior YellowGreens secure Division One return in African youth cricket
Nigeria's Junior YellowGreens have returned to Division One of African youth cricket after finishing second in the ICC U19 Men鈥檚 Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier Division Two campaign. They won four of their five matches in Kigali, Rwanda, concluding with a 165-run victory over Sierra Leone. In their final match, Nigeria posted 311 for nine from 50 overs, with Keneth Boniface scoring an unbeaten century 100 off 74 balls and Captain Ali Rahmon adding 74 runs. Sierra Leone was then bowled out for 146 in 45.5 overs. Daniel Ayodele and Pelumi Orimolade each took three wickets for Nigeria. Sahr Lebbie was Sierra Leone's top scorer with 41. This performance earned the Junior YellowGreens promotion back to Division One, where they will compete against Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda.
