Sevilla loans striker Rafa Mir to Greek club Aris Thessaloniki
Sevilla has loaned striker Rafa Mir to Greek side Aris Thessaloniki. Mir, 29, was sentenced in June to eight and a half years in prison for sexual assault and bodily harm, a verdict he has appealed. The offenses occurred on September 1, 2024, at Mir's home in Betera, Valencia. The deal with Aris Thessaloniki includes an option to buy. Mir, who came through Valencia's youth academy, signed with Wolves in 2018 before joining Sevilla in 2021. He was loaned back to Valencia in July 2024, arrested in September 2024, and spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Elche. Mir has represented Spain at youth level.
