President Faye challenges superstition during Kolda tour in Médina Yoro Foulah

He emphasized that avoiding certain territories due to beliefs or political risks creates second-class citizens, asserting that every Senegalese citizen, regardless of birthplace, should believe they can lead the nation. The President stressed the need to strengthen the territorialization of public policies to bring state action closer to the people, stating that no part of Senegal should be ignored due to difficult access. On April 24, 2026, President Faye had already visited Médina Yoro Foulah to lay the foundation stone for a new health center, a symbolic and concrete gesture demonstrating the state's commitment to territorial equity and opening up areas long distant from essential infrastructure.
