Unity Dow elected Botswana Congress Party vice president

Unity Dow, Member of Parliament for Kgatleng West, has been elected vice president of the Botswana Congress Party BCP. This makes her one of the few women in Botswana's political history to achieve such a senior party leadership role. Dow's election, alongside deputy secretary general Tebogo Molefe, strengthens the BCP's executive structure. She is the third woman to hold a vice presidency in a political party in Botswana, following Kathleen Letshabo and Same Bathobakae of the Botswana National Front BNF. Dow's public profile was established through her work in the judiciary, government, and politics before she joined the BCP. She previously served as a judge and was involved in national politics with the Botswana Democratic Party BDP.
