Senegal launches practical guide for women entrepreneurs
A new resource, "The Guide for the Senegalese Woman Entrepreneur," was launched on September 1, 2026, to support women entrepreneurs across Senegal. This guide is a collaboration between C茅gep de la Gasp茅sie et des 脦les, the Directorate of Professional Orientation DOP, and members of the Project to Support the Economic and Social Empowerment of Women and Youth in Senegal PAFEJ. It aims to make entrepreneurial information simpler, more practical, and accessible to women from all regions, regardless of their literacy level or sector. The document provides practical guidance through six key stages, from reflecting on one's profile and project to business development. It covers aspects such as offer construction, activity organization, communication and commercial development, financial management, fundraising, and diagnosis and innovation. The guide also includes practical tools, cautionary points, advice on sustainable development and the circular economy, and testimonials from Senegalese women entrepreneurs. This initiative seeks to empower entrepreneurs to structure, develop, and sustain their businesses. The guide is a deliverable from a partnership conducted in 14 technical institutions and with civil society organizations, as part of the "One Thousand Women: I am a woman, I exist, I participate FEP" project, funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented by Colleges and Institutes Canada. It is available in PDF and audio formats, including in the Wolof language, to enhanc
