
Standard Bank Namibia appoints Jerome Namaseb as executive officer for personal and private banking
Standard Bank Namibia has announced the appointment of Jerome Namaseb as executive officer for personal and private banking, effective August 3. Namaseb will join the bank’s executive leadership team and will lead the personal and private banking business. Standard Bank chief executive Erwin Tjipuka stated that Namaseb's experience will enhance the bank's ability to expand its customer offerings, citing his strategic insight and proven ability to achieve commercial growth and build high-performing teams. Tjipuka also highlighted Namaseb’s track record in leading transformational initiatives and delivering customer and business outcomes. Namaseb previously served as chief executive of the Daures Green Hydrogen Village, where he led the development of a sustainable infrastructure initiative in Namibia. He also held senior positions in the financial services sector, focusing on business growth, product innovation, customer value propositions, and strategic market expansion. Namaseb holds a bachelor of science honours degree in actuarial science and mathematics from the University of Manchester and a bachelor of economics honours degree from the Namibia University of Science and Technology. Namaseb expressed his anticipation of strengthening the bank’s relationships with customers, enhancing its value proposition, and delivering innovative solutions, while also committing to inclusive growth and creating meaningful impact for communities across Namibia.
