Nollywood actors gather in Ilaro for Ogogo's burial

Other attendees include Ireti Osayemi and Bisi Omo Logbalogba, who will join colleagues, family, and well-wishers for the Janazah prayers. Actor Bola Oyin-Adejobi also paid tribute to Ogogo. The burial rites follow Ogogo's death on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the age of 66.

Jide Kosoko announced the passing and the plan for a lying-in-state ceremony in Ilaro. The Ilaro Muslim Community also announced the burial prayer, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground. Ogogo's death occurred days after his daughters, Kaira and Lima Taiwo, appealed for medical assistance as he battled stage-four cancer, with doctors indicating that chemotherapy was no longer viable.

Ogogo was a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry, particularly known for his contributions to Yoruba-language films over a career spanning more than four decades.
