Nollywood actor Zubby Michael joins African Democratic Congress

Nollywood actor Azubuike Michael, known as Zubby Michael, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress ADC. He registered as a member of the party on Saturday in his hometown, Ozubulu, Anambra State. Michael confirmed his membership on Instagram, sharing a video of his registration and receipt of his ADC membership card. In the video, a background remark suggested he might be considering a political ambition, possibly for a House of Representatives seat, though Michael has not confirmed any intention to contest for elective office. This development follows a reported surge in new memberships for the ADC, with the party's National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, stating on April 5 that membership had risen significantly, from over 40,000 registrations on April 2 to more than 500,000 new members between April 1 and the latest update.
