National Assembly committees inspect NDDC projects in Cross River State, demand tangible impact

A joint delegation from the National Assembly Committees on the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, comprising members from both the Senate and the House of Representatives, has begun an inspection tour of key NDDC projects in Cross River State. This includes the reconstruction of the Odukpani Junction–Okom Ita–Uyanga–Ehom Road. The inspection team, led by Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, Chairman of the Senate Committee on NDDC, and Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, his House counterpart, along with NDDC Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku and Executive Director Projects Victor Antai, assessed the quality and impact of the emergency reconstruction project. Senator Ekpenyong stated that the oversight visit is part of the National Assembly’s constitutional mandate to ensure NDDC projects provide tangible benefits to the people. He emphasized that this inspection reflects the commitment of President Bola Tinubu and National Assembly Chairman Senator Godswill Akpabio to ensure every NDDC intervention delivers real value to communities.
