Nasarawa State's federal allocation rises to N16bn following Tinubu's economic reforms, Governor Sule states
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule announced that the state's monthly federal allocation has increased from an average of N3.8bn-N4.5bn to N14bn-N16bn. He attributed this surge to President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms, specifically the removal of fuel subsidies, which freed up resources for all tiers of government. Governor Sule made these remarks while hosting a delegation from the Renewed Hope Ambassadors National Media Tour, led by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. Sule highlighted that the increased allocation has enabled the state to invest approximately N90bn in new infrastructure projects without borrowing, including various flyovers and road dualizations. He also credited federal mining policy reforms, championed by Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dele Alake, for the establishment of a significant lithium mining and processing facility in Nasarawa. Additionally, the Governor mentioned the state's agricultural efforts, cultivating 10,000 hectares of rice, and a skills acquisition center offering training in 12 trades. Onanuga stated that the media tour aims to independently verify development claims by federal and state governments.
