KWAM 1 weeps on stage following the death of veteran actor Ogogo
Legendary Nigerian Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, known as KWAM 1, became emotional and shed tears on stage after learning of the death of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, also known as Ogogo. Ogogo passed away on Sunday evening after a battle with cancer. A video circulating on social media shows KWAM 1 visibly shaken by the news during his live performance at the Mushin 30th Anniversary Celebration, requiring consolation from an associate. Another Fuji musician, Malaika, also expressed his grief, stating, "His death really hit hard. I'm in pain." Both musicians mourned Ogogo and reflected on his impact and legacy in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Ogogo, a prominent figure in Yoruba-language Nollywood, died days after his daughters publicly appealed for medical assistance as he battled stage-four cancer.
