Farmdev Consult hosts Africa Agribusiness Summit in Ibadan, drawing over 500 stakeholders
Over 500 agricultural stakeholders, including industry leaders, agripreneurs, policymakers, farmers, students, and NYSC Agro-Allied CDS corps members, attended the Africa Agribusiness Summit 2026 in Ibadan on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Organized by Farmdev Consult, the summit focused on "Transforming Africa’s Agricultural Landscape: Driving Profitability, Sustainability, and Food Security," aiming to shift African agriculture from subsistence to structured, high-yield corporate businesses. Samuel Oluwatobi, Convener and Managing Director of Farmdev Consult, highlighted the necessity of agribusiness for economic growth and food security. Alhaji Gaffar Bello, Executive Adviser to the Governor on Planning, Budgeting, and Economic Matters, representing the Secretary to the Oyo State Government, urged participants to adopt professional branding and value addition. Mrs. Kehinde Omojuyigbe, founder of The Fufu Factory, virtually stressed the need for intentional capital injection into the sector. Mr. Babatunde Olaniran of Tundelaniran Farms and Mr. Alfred Ukane of Melora Farms showcased the profitability of high-value export processing and farm automation.
