Springboks make changes to half-backs for second All Blacks Test
South Africa has altered its half-back pairing for the upcoming second Test against New Zealand in Cape Town, promoting Handre Pollard and Cobus Reinach. Pollard, at fly-half, and Reinach, at scrum-half, will replace Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Grant Williams, respectively. Williams is unavailable due to an injury, while Feinberg-Mngomezulu will be on the bench. Ethan Hooker will start on the left wing, replacing Kurt-Lee Arendse, who moves to the right wing in place of Cheslin Kolbe, also out with an injury. The team may see a fourth change if flanker Siya Kolisi is cleared to play after a hamstring injury, potentially replacing Paul de Villiers. Head coach Rassie Erasmus noted Pollard and Reinach's experience under pressure. Pieter-Steph du Toit will captain the team and is set to earn his 100th cap. Ox Nche will make his 50th appearance for the Springboks. The bench has been reshuffled, with Deon Fourie, who can play as a hooker or flanker, among those promoted. If Fourie plays, he will become the oldest Springbok to feature in a Test match.
