Namibia Oil and Gas Conference to partner with Youth Energy Forum for professional development

The conference, themed 'From Decision to Dividend: Making Namibia’s Oil Work for Namibians', will take place in Windhoek next week. The Economic Association of Namibia EAN, a co-organiser, announced the partnership will include a Future Generations session and local content masterclasses. These initiatives aim to offer education, technical training, mentorship, and increase youth involvement in discussions about the country's energy future.

The sessions will bring together young professionals, students, and industry leaders to explore innovation, entrepreneurship, and career paths. EAN chief executive Cons Karamata stated that developing local talent is a key priority as Namibia's oil and gas industry advances, and these programs are designed to connect young Namibians with the necessary knowledge, training, and mentorship. NYEF director Andreas Paulus emphasized that the ongoing partnership ensures youth perspectives are included in industry discussions, which is crucial for an inclusive energy future and for positioning young Namibians to contribute to the sector's growth.

The organizations also partnered during the 2025 oil conference.
