Morocco wins two gold and one silver medal in boxing at the Mediterranean Games

Saïda Lahmidia won gold in the under 70 kg category after her French opponent, Maïlys Richaud, withdrew from the final. Slimane Samghouli claimed gold in the under 65 kg category, defeating Algerian Ismaïl Bakhchiss 3-2. Widad Bertal earned a silver medal in the under 54 kg category, losing to Italian Sirine Chaarabi 4-1 in the final.

Bertal had advanced to the final by beating French boxer Wassila Lkhadiri 5-0, while Lahmidi secured her final spot after Turkish opponent Dilara Sak's fight was stopped due to a clear imbalance. Samghouli also reached the final by dominating Serbian Dmitry Artemovitch Gorbenko 5-0. Previously, on Wednesday, Moroccan boxers Abdelhak Nadir under 70 kg, Mounia Toutir under 65 kg, and Yasmine Mouttaki under 51 kg each won bronze medals.
