Morocco honored by African Tennis Confederation, excels in Arab U14 Championship
Morocco has been awarded the Nations Trophy by the African Tennis Confederation CAT for the eighth consecutive year, recognizing its performance across various African Championships this season. The Moroccan U14 national team also achieved significant success at the Arab U14 Tennis Championship, held in Tunisia from August 16 to 23, 2026, securing three out of four titles available in both singles and team events. In the boys' singles, Soulaymane Jamji won the Arab U14 champion title after an all-Moroccan final against Adam Smihi, who finished as vice-champion. Yacout El Rhaffouli claimed the girls' Arab U14 champion title by defeating Tunisia's Meriem Miladi in the final. The boys' team, comprising Soulaymane Jamji, Nacer Mouaffak, and Adam Smihi, won the Arab U14 team championship. The girls' team, consisting of Lilya Jelloule, Joumana Ouazzani, and Yacout El Rhaffouli, finished as Arab vice-champions. Dr. Abdelali El Jahed, Charg茅 d'affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Tunisia, attended the awards ceremony. The Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation congratulated all players and staff for their achievements, marking a successful season for the national teams.
