Morocco ranked best-reputed African and Arab country in 2026
Morocco has been recognized as the African and Arab country with the best international reputation in 2026, according to the latest RepCore Nations ranking. The Kingdom advanced three places from the previous year to secure the 27th position globally. This ranking measures the level of trust, admiration, and respect countries inspire among the public opinion in G7 nations. The 2026 edition, conducted by Reputation Lab, is based on 124,014 evaluations collected in 36 countries, covering the reputations of 74 nations. The published ranking focuses on the 60 largest global economies by GDP, as assessed by public opinion in G7 countries, which include Germany, Canada, the United States, France, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Morocco leads other African and Arab countries in the ranking, ahead of Egypt 38th, the United Arab Emirates 40th, Kuwait 44th, Saudi Arabia 51st, and Algeria 52nd. Morocco's improved standing is attributed to better perceptions in areas such as technological perception, public resource management, and international sports performance. The ranking uses 22 criteria across economic, political, social, cultural, and environmental dimensions to evaluate a country's image abroad and its ability to inspire trust, admiration, and respect. This achievement comes in a generally challenging global context, where 43 of the 60 ranked economies saw a decline in reputation, while only 14 progressed and three remained stable.
