Speaking on TV3鈥檚 The Key Points, Hosi emphasized that the controversy should not be reduced to the political rivalry between the New Patriotic Party NPP and the National Democratic Congress NDC, stressing its broader implications for Ghana's future. He stated that the NDC-NPP political divide is 'inconsequential' and urged Ghanaians to focus on the scandal's impact on the lives of future generations and the sustenance of democracy. Hosi questioned how citizens can maintain confidence in democratic institutions when such allegations emerge and become subject to partisan defense. He also criticized the handling of Ghana鈥檚 power arrangements, particularly the cost of electricity, noting that while emergency situations might justify a premium, excessive premiums of 300-600 percent are unjustifiable.
