Akhannouch received by Angolan president during AU Summit in Luanda
Government Head Aziz Akhannouch was received on Sunday in Luanda by Angolan President João Lourenço. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the extraordinary African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government, held on August 30 in the Angolan capital. During the audience, Akhannouch conveyed the fraternal greetings of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Angolan president, along with wishes for his health, success in his mandate, and progress and prosperity for the Angolan people. Akhannouch also congratulated Angola on the excellent organization of the Summit and emphasized Morocco's readiness to deepen cooperation and partnership between the two countries. President Lourenço, in turn, asked Akhannouch to transmit his warm greetings to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as wishes for the Sovereign's health and happiness, and for greater progress and prosperity for the Moroccan people. The audience was attended by Morocco's Ambassador to Angola, Saadia Alaoui, the Ambassador and Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, Mohamed Methqal, and the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Mohamed Arrouchi.
