Khoemacau Copper Mining and Absa Bank Botswana partner to support citizen-owned SMMEs

This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement, combines the Citizen Economic Empowerment and Enterprise Supplier Development commitments of both institutions. The initiative aims to provide coordinated and targeted interventions to foster the growth and sustainability of citizen-owned businesses. The partnership seeks to overcome key obstacles hindering SMME participation and growth within the mining value chain.

It will offer suitable financial solutions, business development support, advisory services, and capacity-building programs. The goal is to strengthen the operational and financial capabilities of citizen-owned enterprises, preparing them to capitalize on commercial opportunities from MMG Khoemacau’s operations.
