
BNI allocates 300 billion FCFA to C么te d'Ivoire's coffee-cocoa sector for 2026-2027 campaign
The National Investment Bank BNI, a public financial institution in C么te d'Ivoire, has committed 300 billion FCFA to support stakeholders in the coffee-cocoa value chain for the 2026-2027 main marketing campaign, set to open on September 1, 2026. This announcement was made by Youssouf Fadiga, BNI's Director General, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Abidjan during the eighth "Networking coffee-cocoa" event. Fadiga stated that this financial support represents a 6% increase compared to the previous campaign's 284 billion FCFA, despite a context of declining prices. The increased funding aims to broaden the impact of BNI's financing to more sector participants and to sustainably support their development ambitions. The 300 billion FCFA allocation is intended to facilitate the financing of inputs and working capital for the upcoming campaign, acquire modern equipment to enhance productivity and processing quality, and invest in drying and storage infrastructure to improve product value. BNI also offers innovative products and services, including BNIONLINE for remote banking, lease-purchase solutions for equipment acquisition, and Creallia, a fully digitalized factoring solution for SMEs. Fadiga emphasized that the institution's objective is to strengthen the competitiveness of the coffee-cocoa sector, viewing its prosperity as integral to the country's and the bank's success.
