Israel prepared to respond with great force if Iran attacks, says Defence Minister

This declaration follows Iranian forces targeting United States military positions across the region. Katz indicated that Israeli forces are ready for a possible attack during the Jewish high holiday season, which begins in mid-September. He noted that while Iran is currently striking elsewhere in the region, there is a possibility they could attack Israel, and the country is prepared defensively.

If an attack occurs, Israel would respond independently, with its planes ready. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar echoed these sentiments, stating that if Israel is attacked by Iran, it would respond heavily, but he is not sure Iran will make that mistake. He also mentioned that Israel does not have plans to join the war right now.

Iran launched retaliatory attacks on US sites across the Middle East after American bombardment, with Iran's Revolutionary Guards announcing attacks on US bases in Jordan, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq's Kurdistan region. Katz also commented that Iran likes to attack on Jewish holidays, but Israel is prepared both defensively and offensively, in coordination with the United States.
