Zimbabwe's Finance Minister has announced an emergency budget revision for the second quarter of 2026. This comes as the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange All Share Index gained 2.4% due to strong mining sector performance, and the country's inflation rate dropped to 4.2%, its lowest in seven years. Other notable developments include EcoCash processing a record 40 million transactions in a single month, and the Harare City Council approving an $80 million water infrastructure rehabilitation plan. The SADC Infrastructure Fund also approved $2 billion for a regional rail network.
