Former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko entered NPP chairmanship race after party calls, MP Matthew Nyindam reveals
Matthew Nyindam, Member of Parliament for Kpandai Constituency, stated that former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko initially hesitated to run for the New Patriotic Party NPP National Chairmanship. Nyindam revealed that Agyarko decided to contest after receiving encouragement from party members who believe his leadership is essential to address internal challenges. According to Nyindam, Agyarko's motivation is to unite the party, restore discipline, and prepare the NPP for victory in the 2028 general election. Nyindam also endorsed Justin Frimpong Kodua for the General Secretary position, suggesting that an Agyarko-Kodua partnership could bring about the necessary transformation for the NPP.
