QNET urges churches to help fight travel and job scams
QNET's Global Compliance Officer, Lawyer Naana Quartey, has called on religious leaders to educate young people about the dangers of travel, job, and human trafficking scams that misuse the QNET brand. Speaking at the 2026 All Ministers Seminar of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council GPCC in Kumasi, she clarified that QNET is a legitimate direct-selling business, not a travel or employment agency, and does not ask for money for overseas opportunities. Quartey emphasized that scammers are misrepresenting the company and damaging its reputation. She urged pastors to use their platforms to warn congregants against these fraudsters. QNET is collaborating with the Economic and Organised Crime Office EOCO to combat perpetrators and recently held a workshop for representatives from 13 Central and West African countries. The Ashanti Region was identified as a hotspot for such scams, leading QNET to direct registered businesses to relocate from residential to commercial areas. Apostle Dr. Bright Sosu, Chairman of the GPCC in the Ashanti Region, described the seminar as insightful and encouraged religious leaders to verify information before sharing it with their congregations to prevent them from falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
