NPP holds regional executive elections across 16 regions
The New Patriotic Party NPP is conducting its Regional Executive Elections across 15 regions today, August 15, 2026, with the Western North Region concluding the exercise on August 16. These synchronized polls are a critical part of the party's internal reorganization following its exit from power in the 2024 general elections. The NPP leadership has finalized logistics and deployed electoral officers, assuring a transparent process. Thousands of certified delegates will elect new regional executives for 11 positions in each region, including Regional Chairman, Secretary, Organizer, Women's Organizer, and Youth Organizer. Key battlegrounds include the Ashanti Region, where a fierce leadership contest for the Regional Chairmanship is underway.
