
President Mahama dissolves boards of nine state-owned institutions
President John Dramani Mahama has dissolved the boards of nine state-owned institutions, effective immediately. The directive was issued in a statement by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in charge of Government Communication. Affected institutions include the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation GNPC, Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited BOST, Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited CBG, and TDC Ghana Limited. Other entities are Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited, Volta Aluminium Company Limited VALCO, Ghana Post Company Limited, Road Maintenance Trust Fund, and the National Sports Authority. While specific reasons for the dissolution were not provided, relevant sector ministers have been instructed to implement the directive, and the affected boards are expected to be reconstituted later.
