
Ghana's Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Sanni Jajah, dies in Jeddah
Alhaji Sanni Jajah, Ghana's Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Jeddah. Yussif Issaka Jajah, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, announced the death in a Facebook post, identifying the deceased as his nephew. Alhaji Sanni Jajah was appointed Deputy Head of Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 11, 2025, by President John Dramani Mahama. In his role, he collaborated with Ambassador Alhaji Said Sinare to oversee consular operations and assist Ghanaian citizens in Saudi Arabia, including Hajj pilgrims, from the Riyadh embassy. He also contributed to the organization and coordination of Ghana's 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
