National Democratic Congress unveils six-volume historical publication
The National Democratic Congress NDC has released a six-volume publication detailing the party's history and Ghana's Fourth Republic political development. This collection aims to preserve the NDC's legacy and enhance institutional memory, tracing its journey from formation to the present, including media coverage, leadership elections, manifesto development, and constitutional reforms. The books were presented to the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and other party leaders ahead of an official launch on September 28, 2026, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra UPSA. Asiedu Nketiah stated that this project is part of a broader effort to systematically document the party's history and administrative records, including meeting minutes and original founding documents. He highlighted a manifesto volume that chronicles the country's changing priorities through successive election manifestos and another volume on the evolution of the NDC's constitution. Oswald Okaitei, a member of the Book Launch Planning Committee, noted that the event will include book reviews and panel discussions. Proceeds from the book sales will support cancer treatment and cardiovascular care initiatives. The party encourages members and the public to purchase the books to support this initiative.
