Aldiouma Sow comments on Senegal's new financing, criticizes Ousmane Sonko's 'clan
Aldiouma Sow, Minister-Counselor and founding member of Kiiraay, commented on the two new financial agreements Senegal recently secured. He stated that actions are replacing words and ideology is giving way to patriotic pragmatism. Sow suggested that for two years, Senegal suffered from constant confrontation and divisive rhetoric, which hindered development and created doubt among international partners. He attributed the country's past obstacles to ineffective decision-making and a systematic sabotage policy against the presidential mandate, orchestrated by the "Messiah" and his "clan," now in the National Assembly. Sow highlighted a new dynamic, citing the immediate return of financial confidence, symbolized by a 340 billion FCFA financing from the World Bank and an additional 20 billion FCFA from the African Development Bank AfDB. He argued that the lack of tangible results in the past was not due to external factors but to a messianic management focused on tension rather than consultation and dialogue. The Minister-Counselor believes these financings signal renewed credibility with donors, who invest in serious projects supported by a republican and stable vision, as promoted by the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, and his administration. Sow concluded that these financings underscore Senegal's need for pragmatism, dialogue, and consultation, rather than perpetual institutional crises.
