Egyptian Sufi orders celebrate Al-Mawlid Al-Nabawi with march and ethical initiative

The annual event, held under tight security, saw participants carrying flags and chanting hymns. Dr. Abdel-Hadi Al-Qasabi, Grand Sheikh of the Sufi Orders and Head of the Supreme Council of Sufi Orders, officially received the marchers. On the sidelines, Dr. Al-Qasabi announced a nationwide ethical initiative across all 27 governorates of Egypt.

This initiative aims to promote the Prophet Muhammad's teachings and character, channeling love for the Prophet into constructive behavior, civic responsibility, and positive societal action. He emphasized that celebrating the Prophet's birthday is an opportunity to renew commitment to values of mercy, tolerance, and peace. The year-round project seeks to reinforce authentic values like mercy, solidarity, respect, and family ties, while countering negative social behaviors.

The Supreme Council of Sufi Orders has partnered with Al-Azhar, the Ministry of Religious Endowments, and the Misr El-Kheir Foundation to implement these programs. Dr. Al-Qasabi affirmed that Sufi orders are an integral part of Egypt's national fabric, dedicated to promoting peace and community service and uniting Egyptians around shared moral values.
