Egyptian and Libyan business federations discuss permanent Egyptian expo in Benghazi and industrial integration

This initiative, which includes support for warehouses and logistical services, aims to boost industrial, commercial, and investment cooperation between Egypt and Libya. A cooperation protocol has been signed to organize an annual Egyptian-Libyan industrial integration exhibition in Benghazi, with the first session tentatively scheduled for April 2027. This exhibition seeks to connect companies and factories in both countries and encourage joint projects and investments.

Hisham El-Gazzar, Head of the Exhibitions and Small Projects Committee of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, stated that the agreement will foster industrial integration, technology transfer, and joint value chains to increase trade and investment and enhance product competitiveness in both markets. Targeted sectors include building materials, food, chemicals, engineering, plastics, wood, furniture, clothing, textiles, leather, and shoes. Saleh Al-Obaidi, Chairman of the Management Committee of the Libyan General Union of Chambers of Commerce in Benghazi, highlighted the vision to combine Egyptian industrial capabilities with Libya's strategic location to create an economic platform for accessing African markets.
