Egypt and Russia enhance judicial cooperation to combat money laundering
Egypt and Russia have strengthened their judicial cooperation to combat money laundering, following directives from Attorney General Mohamed Shawky to enhance international judicial cooperation and expertise exchange. A discussion session was organized by the International Cooperation Department at the Public Prosecution Office, in collaboration with the Economic Affairs and Money Laundering Prosecution, with a delegation from the Public Prosecution of the Russian Federation. The session focused on legal frameworks and practical mechanisms for combating money laundering, including information exchange, judicial assistance, and tracing criminal proceeds. Both countries reviewed their experiences and practical approaches, aiming to develop cooperation mechanisms against money laundering and organized crimes, and to enhance coordination between their respective authorities to address transnational crimes effectively. This initiative underscores the Egyptian Public Prosecution's commitment to fostering international judicial cooperation with Russia.
