Egypt condemns Israeli airstrikes on Abu al-Duhur military airport in Syria
Egypt has strongly condemned recent Israeli airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur military airport in Syria's Idlib Governorate. In an official statement, Egypt described the attack as a flagrant violation of Syria鈥檚 sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter. Egypt rejected Israel's continued violations of Syrian territory, warning that such attacks are a dangerous escalation that undermines efforts to stabilize Syria and the broader region. The statement emphasized that these actions threaten regional peace and security at a time when political solutions, de-escalation, and preserving Syrian state resources are urgently needed. Egypt urged the international community to take responsibility to end repeated Israeli violations and halt policies that impose a fait accompli by force, which only fuel regional escalation.
