Some motorists fear that the high toll might lead travelers to opt for the less expensive national road, despite potentially longer travel times and less favorable conditions. This raises questions about the highway's usage, as a high tariff could limit accessibility for certain user categories, including modest-income households, regular traders, and families traveling between Dakar and Saloum localities.
