This initiative was highlighted by a workshop held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in Abidjan, which focused on sharing insights from benchmarks conducted for GUIF's establishment. Organized by the Women Investment Club Côte d'Ivoire WIC CI at the CGECI, the event gathered key stakeholders from the investment and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Mme Carole Versteeg, Deputy Director General of CEPICI, representing Director General Mme Solange Amichia, chaired the opening ceremony.
She emphasized GUIF's strategic importance in boosting women's participation in investment and value creation, stating that promoting women's investment is a crucial driver for economic development, innovation, and structural transformation in Côte d'Ivoire. Discussions at the workshop covered findings from institutional, international, and legal benchmarks, as well as consultations with public and private sector actors. These studies, conducted by Gaïa Intelligence Africa and Coumbassa & Sanden Conseil, provided recommendations to tailor the future mechanism to the Ivorian ecosystem.
